Urban Fantasy

So, I'm pretty fond of a lot of the urban fantasy novels I've encountered this year.

The Dresden Files has to be one of the best series I've ever read. Grats to Mr. Butcher on a job well done! I'm also enjoying Kim Harrison's witch/vampire novels. The grammar is very bad in spots, yes, but the story is entertaining.

I also read some of the Sookie Stackhouse/Dead Until Dark books (but I've yet to finish the series), and the Carpe Demon books (which were cute but unfortunately gave me the impression that someone was simply trying to give Buffy the Vampire Slayer to an older and more Christian audience).

~ Minako

Priorities. I has them.

I'm just sitting here at the computer. The keys are kind of sticking. It's already the fourth month but it's not been too warm. I'm thinking rather wistfully of those hot days when the clothes in stores are bright and icecream is nice and thunder rumbles in the evenings. Coming soon, I hope! ^_______^

There's not a whole lot going on in terms of school. I do my work the night before it's due and all's well. But friends require constant attention. They're the things that actually matter, so it's not a bad thing to focus on them more than pointless busywork.

Anyway, bath time!

~Minako
